Kansas City's HEARTLAND LEGAL JOB FAIR
21st Annual Heartland Legal Job Fair
July 18, 2025
This year's Heartland Legal Job Fair is scheduled to take place virtually on Friday, July 18, 2025. We invite you to join us to continue the work of former Mayor Sly James in founding the Fair in 2005.
The primary purpose of Kansas City's Heartland Legal Job Fair is to increase the participation for all in the practice of law in Kansas City. The founders and organizers of the Job Fair strongly believe that the inclusion of all enriches us all.
In December 2021, KCMBA launched the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Action Plan/Collaborative – a forum for developing, curating, and sharing a range of practical, effective law firm resources, practices, and strategies that fit the respective needs of differently situated firms, and for considering and recommending innovative practices and evolving strategies over time.
The shared purpose of the DEI Collaborative is to help member firms achieve continued, meaningful, and measurable progress toward the firms’ shared objectives of inclusion and belonging. HDLJF is at the heart of their ongoing commitment dating back to the Fall of 2005. KCMBA Collaborative is striving towards inclusion in the greater Kansas City legal community where all can thrive.
